About the Proposed Scottish Science Campus | VARUNÉ Labs

VARUNÉ Labs

Ambition, governed.

VARUNÉ Labs is a proposed medicines development venture and Scottish campus programme led by Varun Sharma. It is being shaped around formulation-led science, possible use of qualified external providers, evidence ownership, disciplined capital and a long-term option to create shared infrastructure in Scotland.

01

Precision before publicity

Public language should never travel ahead of documentary control, approvals or current operational evidence.

02

Partnership before footprint

Qualified external capability protects runway while the right scientific and commercial control position is established.

03

Permission to stop

Every campus and programme decision must retain a credible pause, shrink, change sequence or kill route.

Location discipline

Scotland is preferred. The decision remains evidence-led.

If the Scottish site case does not converge, VARUNÉ could pause fixed infrastructure and open a fresh comparator process. Any authorised specialist work would remain external and use qualified providers. Another United Kingdom cluster would be the first logical review, with selected European reference markets considered only if a wider process were authorised.

This section does not represent an active alternative location search, site discussion, negotiation, relocation decision or international campus. It illustrates how any future comparison would be governed.
